Rev David Cookis Principal of Sydney Missionary and Bible College (SMBC) and Director of the SMBC School of Preaching. He is a regular speaker at Christian conventions throughout Australia and overseas and lectures in preaching and pastoral subjects at SMBC. David has authored and contributed to several books on preaching. He is married to Maxine and they have five adult children and eleven grandchildren. His interests include good coffee, rugby (both kinds) and cricket.

Pastor Ronald Nugent

Pastor Ron Nugent is a Pastor Emeritus with the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Western Australia. He was born in Perth and educated at the University of Western Australia. In the early seventies, after teaching for a few years in Perth, Ron served for four years as a volunteer teacher in the East Malaysian states of Sarawak and Sabah. It was in Malaysia that he became a Christian and it was also in Malaysia that he met his wife, Mina, a Kenyah from Sarawak. After studying at the Bible College of South Australia, Ron served as pastor of an aboriginal congregation in the Western Australian wheat belt town of Brookton and later as pastor of two congregations in Perth, each with a large number of international members.

Ron has been associated with OCF for over thirty years, on and off, and is currently the State Adviser for Western Australia. As well as ministering in OCF, he is often invited to preach and teach in churches in Western Australia, Malaysia and Singapore. Ron and Mina have three adult children and four grandchildren and they worship in Kingsley Presbyterian Church. Apart from preaching and teaching, he now spends most of his time writing, gardening and playing with his grandchildren.
